Dandamudi as a Sportsman
- Took up the line of weightlifting in 1935 .
- Became a champion of Andhra sate in 1939.
- In 1946 won Ist place in XII olympic Games of India held in Bangalore in heavy Weight class.
- In 1947 Represented India in Indo-Burma competitions which took place in Burma.
- Dandamudi represented in International olympic Games in 1948[London] 1952 [Helsinki] 1956 [melbourne]
- Dandamudi created Several New Records in Weight lifting in India . He exceeded in Official Olympic Records in Asia
- He was the Founder of Andhra Olympic Association . and Several other Sports Associations in Andhra State
- He was the 1st president of Andhra olympic Association. He has beeen the captain of Andhra olympic Team.
- Dandamudi was running"Andhra State Physical Culture Institute and Nature Cure Clinic giving free coaching for Aspiring Young men with a view to popularise physical culture in Andhra.
